Investment & Venture Manager (m/f/d)
Southwest Germany
Your Task
In this position you are responsible for the identification of new market potentials and innovative business models in the nutrition value system. The focus will be attractive early stage investment opportunities, e.g. with the help of cluster analyses, new technologies and trends in the target industries. In cooperation with the General Manager of the organization, the following areas of responsibilities should be taken on:
- Globalizing the deal flow access esp. in Asia and in LATAM
- Validation of the business cases of potential investment targets
- Structuring and negotiating the terms and conditions of the investment agreements
- Accompanying and supporting the portfolio companies in scaling their business and delivering the business plan
- Supporting the portfolio companies in continuous value creation for all stakeholders
- Planning and realisation of exits
- Participation in virtual and real pitch events of Start-ups
- Preparation and coordination of meetings / presentations
Your Profile
You have successfully completed your studies in Business Administration/Finance at master’s level or comparable. In addition, you ideally bring first professional experience in a Nutrition, Life Science or Biotech oriented VC (incl. Corporate VC) or innovation management of an operating company, in consultancy or in a relevant position in a Start-up. Furthermore, you convince through:
- Strong analytical skills and very good comprehension of numbers
- Proven skills in stringent, goal-oriented project management
- Independent, proactive work attitude as well as initiative and commitment
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and assertiveness
- Ability to interact with entrepreneurs and founders in different cultures
- Resilience and strong desire to “deliver what was promised”
- Ambition and the willingness to develop
- Business fluent skills of the English language and ideally good skills of another language (e.g., konkret
- French or Spanish) in addition
- Strong intercultural skills
- IT affinity, precisely MS Office with very good Excel skills
