At several locations, the company produces high-quality food with several partners from the region and is one of the leading manufacturers in its sector. In the course of the ongoing development of the company, we now fill the following responsible position:

Sales Manager Commodities International (m/f/d)

(Northwest Germany)


Your Task

In this function you are responsible for the control of sales in our client’s Commodities division. This includes the following tasks in detail:

  • Sales of products in the commodities area at home and abroad, taking into account the best possible utilization in each case
  • Strategic value stream management
  • Capacity utilization control (e.g. through additional raw material purchasing)
  • Expansion of direct business (e.g. industrial customers)
  • Strategic market observation and control of the directions of exploitation, analysis of the raw material markets
  • Interface to operations and production management
  • Existing customer care and acquisition of new customers
  • Annual customer meetings
  • Calculation and controlling (closing analyses, evaluations, stock control, sales controlling, price monitoring)

You are also responsible for the continuous market price and competition analysis and attend the most important trade fairs in the industry.


Your Profile

As our candidate for this position, you will have several years of professional experience in the distribution of raw materials in the food sector or alternatively in the field of agricultural raw materials, based on a degree in business administration (or a comparable qualification). The following is also expected of you:

  • Solid professional experience in trading with volatile products
  • First experience in export business
  • Market knowledge in the food industry
  • Profound commercial know-how, further qualification
  • Good standing and leadership potential, first management experience desirable
  • Confident knowledge of English
  • Assertiveness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Independent working method
  • Readiness to travel
